Three Winds is a modern beach home on Martha’s Vineyard available for rent year-round by the week. Located in Aquinnah on the western most end of the island, it sits on windswept, rolling terrain, overlooking Vineyard Sound and the Elizabeth Islands. The home also has dramatic landscape views beside the Gayhead lighthouse and Aquinnah cliffs. Nestled into a three and a half acre meadow making it the perfect place to escape, rejuvenate, unwind and relax.
Architects Charles Rose and Maryann Thompson designed this one-story vacation home like a camp, it’s comprised of three separate buildings with pathways between the three. Building one, a beautiful master bedroom, master bath with a walk in closet. Building two includes combined living / dining room, kitchen and half bath with a wall of sliding glass doors. Building three, a guest house has two bedrooms and a full bath, and a beautiful outdoor shower attached to this building.
Building two also has a stainless steel staircase that goes up to the rooftop with a large comfortable couch, lounge chairs, and a dining table that seats six. It’s a remarkable vantage point from which to view the Vineyard Sound, the Elizabeth islands and beautiful sunsets.
The home has access to a private beach on the Sound and a restaurant Outermost Inn that’s walking distance. Philbin Beach on the Atlantic, a short drive or bike ride that’s great for swimming and surfing.
